A: We teach the science and technique of CONNECTION. Connection is the not so secret sauce of every big verdict/great trial lawyer. It is not an art, it is not something some people are born with and others are not. Connecting is a skill that can be learned and mastered. Like all complex skills that one is seeking to learn and master, it has to be broken down into its component parts, its micro skills, which have to be identified, isolated, and practiced. The micro skills of connection are; eye contact, emotional state control(facial expressions) voice control, hand movement/gestures, body movement, glance control, word choice, creating space, and being KIND. A: TLU NYC is a combination of four lecture tracks and seven breakout rooms for small group skills training workshops. These workshops are on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The workshops are a separate ad on purchase to your standard admission ticket.
A: The standard admission ticket includes access to the four lecture tracks, breakfast, lunch, and nightly after parties.
A: If you choose to do a workshop you will miss the opportunity to attend lectures on that day. All of the lecture tracks are being recorded and will be available on TLUonDemand.com site and on the TLU app. All participants will be given complimentary access to TLUonDemand for 30 days following the event to catch anything you may have missed.
A: Yes, a link to the room block is in the confirmation email that is sent after registering. The room block price is $369 per night.
A: Yes, we will have a full breakfast with bacon, eggs, fruit, etc — every day.
A: Awesome, we will do them nightly from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. We will have live music, NO WAIT open bar, and appetizers.
A: Up to 21 credits but the total number of credits will be dependent on the final approval of each state.
A: If you cancel 30 days or more before the event we will give you a full refund minus $65 administration fee or a credit to an upcoming program. Less than 30 days you will receive a credit for another program or TLUOnDemand.com
